Bettering the Community Service Initiative: Forgotten Harvest

Corporate

When it comes to bettering the community, Breckenridge Group takes this mission to heart. As a core value, we encourage our employees to participate in the Bettering the Community Service Initiative. This program gives employees the opportunity to use paid time off to donate their time to support 501c3 causes close to their hearts.

LaTisha Moore, Agency Marketing Services Specialist, and approximately 30 volunteers recently worked with the Forgotten Harvest organization in Oak Park, Michigan. It was a wonderful opportunity for members of the community come together to give back.

The volunteers processed 10,250 pounds of food during the morning session, which equals 10,250 servings. The food was rescued from local grocery stores, convenience stores, and restaurants, and the group sorted and boxed food with nutritional value, as well as some treats that will be donated and shared with those in need.
